Kiev Airport Zhuliany Terminal

Kyiv International Airport Zhuliany was first opened in 1923 as a military airfield. In 1949, the airport terminal was built after WWII. In 1959, Boryspil International Airport was opened in order to replace Zhuliany.

In 2011, Wizz Air, the leading local low cost carrier, decided to operate all its flights from Kyiv International Airport Zhuliany, becoming the main serving carrier in the airport.

Kyiv International Airport Zhuliany consist of a single international passenger terminal (Terminal A), which hosts all international flights, and a couple of terminals: The B Terminal, dedicated to business aviation, and the D Terminal, the domestic terminal.

Kyiv International Airport Zhuliany international passenger terminal (Terminal A) counts with two levels as follows:

Ground level: This is the main level of Kyiv Airport Zhuliany. This level hosts both Departures Hall and Arrivals Hall. In the central part of the level, there is the baggage reclaim area and the border control area, hosted by the custom control. Other services available are ticket office, retail stores, toilets and changing room. The information desk is opposite to the main service area.

In the eastern part, there are the check-in counters with plenty of services available: Changing room, toilets and accessible toilet, post office, Bank and ATMs, Police station, locker room and food and drink concessions. From this point, you can easily access by escalators and lifts to the upper floor (boarding gates).

In the western part, after border control, you can have access to services such as toilets, changing room, smoking allowed zone, lost and found, post office and medical centre. A lift to grant access to physically challenged passengers is available. Prior to the board control, you can find ground transportation options, basically car rental partners booths, a baby room and a café.

First level: This is the boarding level. Find in this level boarding gates G1 to G9 (also G1A). Access to this level is done though both the border control and the aviation security, located in the western part. Once cleared security, access is granted to many services as well as to the boarding gates: Duty free shops, toilets, disabled toilets, smoking allowed rooms, food and drink concessions, changing rooms, baby care rooms and business lounge.
